GIANT MARINETT PUPPET TERRORIZES EARTH…… I can barely bring myself to review this movie. So I will make it brief. As much as I enjoy the 50’s sci fi bug and, for lack of terminology, “giant thing monster movies”. The Giant Claw falls to dead last on my list. OH the humanity! How this movie could have benefited from CGI.
The Giant Claw is yet another installment of giant creature vs. Mankind. A type of movie of which there was many. My favorite part of the movie was the following lobby card!
From Wikizilla! One monster vs a ton of military hardware. When all that was needed was a pair of scissors to cut the strings!
I loved this movie. I have it on DVD and when there is nothing on TV that I want to see I will watch some of those old creature features like The Giant Claw, The Black Scorpion, The Deadly Mantis and Them etc. I like some of these old movies better than I do the new ones. These new movies have to much CGI.

Say what you will. To me this movie holds a special place in my heart as the first “monster move” I saw, thanks to the slight irresponsibility of a sympathetic babysitter that night. Thank you Pam. I watch it whenever it is rebroadcast.
